🟡 Explosive Start: Tigers Knock Out Giants’ Ace Early
Hanshin came out swinging against Yomiuri ace Togo, chasing him off the mound with 7 hits in just 3 innings! Giants manager Abe later admitted, “It felt like they’d figured him out.”
The Tigers opened the scoring in the 1st with a sac fly by Morishita after back-to-back hits by Chikamoto and Nakano. In the 3rd, hits by Nakano, Ohyama, Maegawa, and Sakamoto brought in two more runs to make it 3–0.
🟢 Bases-Loaded King Kinami Strikes Again
In the 7th, Hanshin’s clutch master Kinami came up with the bases loaded for the first time this season.
True to his nickname — “Mr. Bases Loaded” — he blasted a 3-run double, adding to his incredible record in those high-pressure situations (he hit nearly .500 with the bases loaded last year!).
🔥 Every Cleanup Hitter Contributes in a Complete Offensive Display
Sato added an RBI in the 8th, making it a perfect night for the heart of the order — every cleanup hitter drove in at least one run.
This was Tigers offense at its most efficient: steady hits, smart base running, and clean execution from top to bottom.
🛡️ Murakami, Ihara, and Ishii Shut the Door
Hanshin’s ace Murakami delivered a strong 7-inning performance, allowing just one run. Rookie Ihara followed with a clean 8th, slicing through the dangerous Giants lineup in order. Ishii closed things out in the 9th to complete the win.
A smooth and dominant game at Tokyo Dome — something Hanshin rarely gets on enemy turf. This was the kind of statement win that fuels a winning streak.
