RECAP — Finally, the First Home Win of the Season! 🐯🎉
Hanshin finally secured their first home victory of the season.
After giving up a two-run homer in the top of the first—carried unusually by the wind blowing in the opposite direction from usual—the Tigers quickly turned things around. They pounced on the Chunichi Dragons’ ace, Takahashi, stringing together five consecutive hits to score four runs and take the lead.
From there, Hanshin stayed on the front foot and controlled the game for a solid, stress-free win.
Starter Murakami gave up 3 runs over 5 innings but hung tough when it counted. The bullpen then took over in dominant fashion: Oyokawa and Ishii each struck out the side in their respective innings, leaving no doubt.
The Tigers’ offense, which had been struggling to deliver timely hits, finally showed signs of life, with better rhythm and connection throughout the lineup. (Of course… a few more runs to really break it open would’ve been nice, but maybe that’s asking a bit too much!)
In the Central League, where all six teams are still neck-and-neck, every win counts. Now, let’s win tomorrow too—and take the series! 🐯🔥
